About the team
Our Risk & Compliance team at the Very Group ensures that we have all the right checks and balances in place to meet our regulatory obligations that builds customer trust and confidence in our brand and business. Working alongside with Operational Risk, Compliance and Data Protection teammates across UK and Ireland, you will craft how our business delivers on positive outcomes for our customers across a range of Retail and Financial products and services.
About the role
Working within CF2 and CF8 Central Bank of Ireland designation, you will provide second line assurance to the Very Group Ireland. You’ll cultivate trusting and collaborative relationships with your colleagues within the operational, commercial and support teams on our compliance regulatory framework, sharing and guiding with your knowledge and expertise on consumer credit and consumer protection.
You’ll use your up-to-date knowledge of regulatory developments to devise effective policies and processes on new and existing regulation and operationalizing these across the teams. Plus, you’ll devise and deliver a compliance monitoring programme that gives regular assurance of this, highlighting risks and opportunities for improvement.
You’ll champion the team's commitment to compliance and financial standards of conduct through design and delivery of team-side learning and awareness programmes.
- Active LCI designation and commitment to ongoing CPD.
- Strong knowledge and experience of the regulatory landscape in the Republic of Ireland.
- Knowledge of Irish and European consumer credit, consumer protection, moneylending and data protection legislation and other relevant regulatory requirements.
- Experience of regulatory engagement would be an advantage.
- Versatile individual who can manage multiple workstreams at once and adapt to competing priorities and deadlines
