About the team.

I have a fantastic permanent role available for a Junior Logistics Performance Manager due to a recent internal promotion. This is an exciting role in our central Logistics team who are a crucial part of our business based in our Head Office in Speke, Liverpool.

Reporting into the Senior Logistics Manager you will work cross functionally with a variety of the teams across the business ensuring our customers have the best experience in receiving their products.

About the role.

The Junior Logistics Performance Manager is responsible for managing the operational performance, customer focus, operational costs and compliance to process of a number of drop ship suppliers and supporting the management of carriers.

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage/train a small number of Drop Ship vendors ensure compliance to process, to identify issues and opportunities and to drive performance improvements.
  • Develop KPI reporting and share appropriately with Logistics Performance Manager’s and Supply base
  • Ensure vendor initial set ups are delivered to time working with the Carriage team/Carriers
  • Own the resolution of specific, carrier/supplier-related performance and customer issues.
  • Participate in the formal carrier/supplier performance reviews as appropriate.
  • Deputise for other LPM’s/SLM’s in meetings.
  • Provide technical or functional guidance to merchandise team to ensure they are offering correct delivery message to customers and minimising lead times to offer the best customer experience and increased demand.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to Category Teams on all direct despatch practices, procedures and systems to ensure delivery promise is met.

Essential knowledge, skills, role specific qualifications:

  • A strong understanding of supplier, drop ship and logistics systems and processes.
  • Highly customer focussed, must be able to understand a high level process and identify the customer impacts.
  • Good understanding of Category team systems, order processing systems, Oracle payments
  • Good understanding of the supply chain, in particular the interaction between drop ship suppliers and carriers to ensure a clean handover and that orders are delivered on time.
  • Self starter, must be capable of working without direct supervision
  • Tenacious and resilient.
  • Enquiring and challenging.
  • Strong influencing skills.
  • Good communications skills (verbal, written and presentation)
  • Full Driving Licence required
  • Previous experience in an online retailer is desirable
