About the team

You’ll be joining the Merchandising team made up of Assortment Planning and Merchandise Financial Planning who look to provide the customer with the right product at the right time. Working closely with the Buying team you will build assortment strategies by focusing on ensuring the best possible range for our customers whilst liaising with suppliers to ensure we have stock available in a timely manner all within the constraints of budgets.

About the role

We have multiple exciting opportunities across both areas of merchandising at Assistant Merchandiser level. Within the role you’ll report directly into a Merchandiser for the area so lots of opportunity to further develop your skills.

Day to day you will be meeting and handling supplier and brand relationships, working closely with the buying and wider merchandising teams to develop commercial range plans suited to our customer. Analysing historical performance, market trends and competitor ranges to help create the best future plans.

About you

We know that our expectations are high, as are our ambitions as a business, so we are aware that one candidate will not have all of the below experience.

The ideal candidate will have/be:

  • Retail merchandising experience.
  • Good knowledge of excel
  • Strong with numbers – able to produce, analyse and articulate findings from reports
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to establish relationships, internal & external - working cross functionally and collaboratively
  • Desire to understand the Very customer
  • Problem solving/critical thinking
  • Decision making skills
  • Ability to prioritise and manage workload
  • A great attitude and who is willing to learn

2nd Stage – A one-hour formal interview where you can expect both competency and technical questions. This can be held either in-person or remotely.
