About the role

The role of Sustainability Assistant – Social role will work collaboratively with the social team in the UK and overseas to support delivery of out human rights targets focusing on data analysis, reporting and monitoring of global social issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring supply chain social audit information is recorded in the internal database in a timely and accurate manner
  • Engaging with partners to the business to guide them on the Social processes, policies and requirements.
  • Conducting accurate and detailed review of social compliance audits, ensuring accurate categorisation of non-conformances and applying adequate corrective actions.
  • Responsible for maintaining and updating training tools both internally and externally.
  • Provide insight and data into supply chain social performance to inform TVG approach to protecting human rights.
  • Working closely with the Sustainability Manager to deliver The Very Group’s ESG commitments on Social
  • Identify, monitor and escalate emerging issues in ethical trade and human rights.
  • Supporting on all other team admin as required including preparing papers, presentations and reports.
  • Contribute to the department’s initiatives and projects.

About you

  • Degree in a relevant subject AND/OR commercial experience within a sustainability role (this could be an internship, work experience, or a permanent role). 
  • Understanding human rights and social issues in global supply chains.
  • Works collaboratively and effectively with others.
  • Is proficient with Microsoft office packages including Excel and PowerPoint. 
  • A great attitude and mature approach to work
  • Good communication skills.
