About the team.

I have 2 exciting roles available for a Change Talent Partner working in our FFM Retail Squad.

Having recently moved towards an Agile methodology for delivering change, the role requires you to work within the retail tribe. You will work under the guidance of a the Head of Talent to embed the desired tribe ways of working. They will achieve this by independently influencing and negotiating with tribe directors/heads of tribes plus other key stakeholders to embed best practice. The partner will also ensure sustainability and/or evolution of the tribe model/ways of working.

About the role.

This is a fantastic 12 month FTC opportunity to work across The Very Groups Retail and People teams, in a role supporting our tribe teams as they deliver change that shapes our ongoing tech transformation. In the role, you’ll take responsibility for understanding how each change initiative impacts people capability, through process mapping, change assessment and effective change management.

In addition, you will work closely with our delivery managers, business analysts and product managers to shape our future business , ensuring we create and a culture where our colleagues belong, are valued, and create value for our customers.

The partner will have sole responsibility for mapping E2E journeys and ensuring we manage business change/impacts effectively and efficiently.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Directing tribe and squad leads with the initial tribe/ squad set-up, advising on the best structure and ways of working.
  • Negotiating and implementing improvements to structure, ways of working, governance and reporting for complex, cross-functional changes.
  • Full ownership of core/critical initiatives and accountability for the delivery of an effective change experience for colleagues
  • Developing and maintaining an in-depth understanding of the change roadmap, the planned implementations and the impacts on the business.
  • Producing current and future state process flows or business/people impacts for major and complex change e.g., FFM.
  • Understanding the collective impact that tribes, squads and initiatives create for business teams and working with representatives from each team to determine if they’re ready for the change and it’s the right time to implement.
  • Producing a capability plan for business areas and tribes
  • Having a detailed understanding all of tribe activity - guiding, influencing, providing feedback and escalating when needed.
  • Proactively identifying risks and issues at tribe, squad and initiative level, and then working with stakeholders to mitigate them.
  • Determining and delivering the tools and templates to ensure consistency in set-up and ways of working across tribes.
  • Supporting all tribe roles in enhancing their skills through coaching, training and building strong relationships.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience in a process/change environment, ideally with professional qualification to validate experience
  • Change management expertise – either 2-3 years’ experience or professional qualification
  • Process mapping capability demonstrated through role experience
  • Experience of working with agile delivery methodology
  • Exceptional level of business knowledge and understanding of business strategy/priorities is required as this will ensure appropriate decisions/recommendations are made that contribute to commercial objectives.
  • Ability to deliver in a fast-paced environment using appropriate methods and tools
  • Strong facilitation and communication skills
  • Able to engage and influence stakeholders up to and including Exec
  • Ability to manage conflict and know when to escalate
  • Demonstrates an analytical and systematic approach to problem solving
  • Ability to analyse requirements and processes and provide feedback regarding project deliverables
