About the role

This role is a maternity leave cover for 1-year, starting from August 2024, and it is a brilliant opportunity for an experienced Financial Accountant to take on a role that is broad and varied, with lots of exposure to all aspects of accounting and reporting in a complex, and fast-paced Retail & Financial Services environment.

During this time, you will prepare monthly management accounts and packs and provide quarterly reporting to our Irish Board, external and Group interests. You will lead or participate in any internal or external audits. Responsible for Treasury, this will involve providing weekly cashflow analysis for the Irish company, in addition to banking payments and securitization reporting.

You’ll also lean in and support the business areas with general budgeting and forecasting, cost management, and any ad-hoc reporting or analysis projects that are always on the go.

About You

You'll be a qualified Accountant, ideally with some experience of accounts preparation, analysis, and reconciliation. You'll have strong Excel skills and are comfortable working with Sage 50, or equivalent. You will have a performance-driven mindset, with excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills. You will be inquisitive, with effective critical thinking skills to drive continuous improvement. And you will work in an nimble way, responsive to deadlines, without comprising on attention to detail and accuracy.
