About us.

We are The Very Group, and we’re here to help families get more out of life. We know that our customers work hard for their families and have a lot to balance in their busy lives. That’s why we combine amazing brands and products with flexible payment options on to help them say yes to the things they love when they need them most.

The Opportunity.

Following on from another brilliant year of growth for the Very Group and the continued development of our Financial Services proposition, in particular VeryPay, we are bringing our joint retail and credit proposition to customers in ways we've not been able to before!

This means we need to work closely with our Brand, Trading and DCX colleagues to ensure VeryPay is being promoted in a way that’s customer focused, clear, fair and compliant.

In the role of Marketing Strategy Manager you’ll work closely with the primary research team to co-ordinate at least 2 annual research projects to track awareness and understanding of our suite of credit and insurance/protect products. You’ll also commission tactical research requests and manage the research budget line. The outcome of these projects will influence what actions we take, which you'll be responsible for taking forward, utilising your network to gain traction on.

Beyond this, you'll be responsible for how VeryPay is communicated and integrated, educating key stakeholders as and when there are changes to the way the account works. You'll be the 'go to' person for all things VeryPay.

You'll work closely with the Customer and Credit Risk teams to support the New Credit Customer acquisition target, whilst ensuring that new customers receive the right level of education about how VeryPay works. You'll recognise opportunities and look for ways to improve the customer experience. Since you'll deliver through others for much of this the power of influence, negotiation, communication and stakeholder management is key. You’ll be an excellent teammate with a great network of contacts across the group.

Finally, you'll support the biggest initiatives (the Super 8) for the group. You’ll be instrumental in helping to shape the delivery and communication strategy for new initiatives.

We believe this role represents an exciting opportunity for an experienced marketeer to take the integration of retail and credit one step further, always with our core customers (families on a budget) and the latest external factors in mind.

You will be used to managing various projects at once and be capable of driving strategic change and ambition in a fast-paced environment.

In terms of personality, we’re looking for a great teammate who can bring energy and enthusiasm to the role.
