About the team

We have some fantastic opportunities based at our state-of-the-art distribution centre in the East Midlands, Skygate. We are currently looking for a Night Shift Manager to work across the operation, leading and developing our fulfilment colleagues.

About the role

  • To lead and support the operational teams within their area of responsibility (e.g., Inbound/Outbound/Despatch)
  • Proactively coach, lead and motivate operational teams and stakeholders to deliver and exceed site KPIs as defined by customer targets/requirements and overall site requirements.
  • Seek out opportunities to improve and encourage the teams to do the same.
  • Ensure customer focus is on the operational mindset.
  • Effectively manage the Team Managers to deliver targets.
  • Deputise for Operations Manager when required.
  • Promote and encourage positive colleague engagement through effective communications and role modelling the TVG values; engaging with colleagues to create a culture that listens, retains colleagues, and drives performance.
  • An ambassador of a positive health and safety and safe working culture, ensuring all H&S and associated processes are followed.
  • Where required act as incident controller /co-ordinator in the management of any H&S issues or concerns
  • Support a culture of continuous improvement, process adherence and quality.
  • Ensure stakeholders are engaged consistently and appropriately across the fulfilment centre to ensure delivery of KPIs.



  • Ensure the Team Managers are managing and planning staffing levels across shifts, working with other areas in the fulfilment centre to re-assign resource if required to ensure customer demand and other KPIs are met.
  • Manage operational processes to maximise efficiency and productivity, escalating issues, and concerns as appropriate.

  • You coach, develop and engage your teams building our site culture.
  • Ideally, you will have experience in fulfilment and Automation.
  • You are keen to learn and able to adapt to different people, departments, and teams.
  • You know how to take care of yourself and take the time to do so, ensuring your resilience remains high in the sometimes-challenging start-up environment.
  • Customer-focused and aware if the external and internal requirements for quality, efficiency, and accuracy.

First stage - An informal 30-minute video call with the hiring team to discuss your skills and relevant experience. This is a fantastic opportunity to find out more about the role and to ask any questions you may have.

2nd Stage – A one-hour formal interview where you can expect both competency and technical questions. This will be held onsite.
