The Customer Care Tribe is responsible for managing and handling customer service requests in an efficient, compliant, and secure manner. The tribe supports customer identity management, profile & preference, case management, knowledge management, customer satisfaction, communications using a variety of channels and the planning and strategy for the Customer Care operations teams.

The CRM Squad is responsible for building and managing the applications that supports case management, knowledge management, customer satisfaction and communications. These applications are built on strategic platforms in AWS and Salesforce Service Cloud!


About the role

Working within the CRM squad of the Customer Care Tribe, you will be instrumental in defining and delivering capability within Salesforce Service Cloud.

You will be expected to actively mentor, coach and support the other engineers within the squad especially in Salesforce development.

Our squad is obsessed with improving the experience for our Contact Centre agents and our aim is to become best in class for this space. As you may imagine, our stakeholder expectations are high, and we'll need you to facilitate discussions about risk and complexity even within constrained timescales, explaining complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences at all levels.

Across the business we foster our technical community, and you will be given opportunities to speak and represent this community to large audiences inside and outside of the Very Group.

We are looking for someone to take the lead in expanding our Salesforce technical landscape. We are searching for an enthusiastic, energetic, and flexible person who has a minimum of 5 years solid technical Salesforce experience, probably already being either a Salesforce Senior Developer or Junior Technical Architect.

  • This is an opportunity to further your career within a dynamic technical landscape where you will have autonomy and opportunity to hone your technical and team lead skills and develop mentoring relationships.
  • You have probably already led technical teams and have experience with working with a large Salesforce codebase (10k+ lines of code).
  • You will naturally strive towards industry leading technical quality standards and have an appreciation or good understanding of Salesforce DevOps
  • You will be expected to commit to continuous improvement both for the technical landscape as well as individually, aiming at Salesforce TA.
