About the role.
With our new brand strategy and an award-winning creative platform now in place, we're injecting some sparkle into our highly visible social channels. This is a amazing opportunity for an ambitious social media professional to advance our strategic initiatives and ensure top-tier social media execution across our diverse department store categories.
At Very, we are revolutionising the way we connect with our customers. Our goal is to boost brand awareness, consideration, and desire through innovative social media campaigns and strategic influencer partnerships.
We are on the lookout for a Social Media Lead to take charge of the entire lifecycle of our social media content, which includes both proactive and reactive strategies. This role covers everything from the formulation of the content strategy to its implementation and subsequent evaluation. Collaborating with a cross-functional team and external agency partners, you will be pivotal in crafting and refining social media content that significantly enhances our brand's visibility and engagement with our target audience.
About you.
You are a creative, highly motivated individual with a solid background in social media strategy, particularly within the fashion sector. You bring extensive experience and are capable of leading innovative campaigns that resonate with our audience.
Here's what we're looking for:
- Extensive experience in social media management, ideally within the retail or beauty industry.
- Strategic Acumen: Proven track record in crafting and executing impactful social media strategies.
- Industry Expertise: Strong understanding of the fashion retail sector with an ability to tap into current trends.
- Leadership: Experience leading a team, managing both in-house staff and external agencies.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Organisational Skills: Efficient, well-organised with excellent time management abilities, and meticulous attention to detail.
- Digital Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of digital tools and social media platforms.
- Cultural Awareness: Knowledge of global cultural events in fashion, music, art, and design, with a focus on the UK.

1st stage - An informal 30 minute video call with the hiring team to discuss your skills and relevant experience. This is a great opportunity to find out more about the role and to ask any questions you may have.
2nd stage - A one-hour formal task based interview. This will be held in-person at our London office.
