Opportunities in our Test & QA community :

We are building a world class Test Engineering capability in our Retail pillar. Retail pillar for us means complex front and back end systems for processes such as merchandising, planning, forecasting and supply chain (this is not our website pillar). We are on a transformation journey introducing cutting edge retail solutions to transforming how we work and better delight our customers.

We want test engineers who have good experience in testing retail solutions, are passionate about delivering quality and want to join us, and contribute to, our journey to be a world class retail test capability.


What do we look for?


  • Good experience in testing complex retail systems for processes such as merchandising, planning, forecasting and supply chain
  • Good experience in using modern test tools and techniques to test frontend and backend integrations
  • The adaptability to bridge between Agile and Waterfall delivery approaches
  • Adapts to new ways of working, adopting new tools and techniques, and can help drive our journey to Agile ways of working
  • Displays ownership, is self-organising, is resilient to work in a fast-paced demanding environment and can demonstrate out of the box thinking
  • Good experience of working with multiple third parties involved in building a solution, demonstrating good and clear communication and pro-active collaboration across teams
  • AWS skills would be beneficial, as would Oracle Fusion testing skills, and an automation first mindset will help.

Our future delivery approach will utilise delivery squads using modern techniques such as TDD, BDD, CI/CD delivery and driving team collaboration using pairing & mobbing to ensure the Retail pillar is efficient and effective in delivering a quality solution for our customer

Self-development is important for us. We see both learning together as a team through the process of delivery and individual learning to build specific skills to able to contribute more to the team, as important. We will give you the time and tools to do this.


Requirements:

  • As a test engineer you are a quality advocate and testing SME within our Retail technology practise. Your mind-set will lead to you driving quality throughout ensuring the right outcomes.
  • At the outset of a change you’ll use your knowledge and experience of Retail solutions to drive the conversation on quality with the whole team.
  • Ensure that all aspects of quality have been considered, both functional and non-functional, to ensure we have well-defined success criteria.
  • Have an automation-first mind-set to ensure we’re checking the solution in an efficient and effective way.
  • You’ll use the learnings gained from exploratory testing to inform the team on how the solution can be improved.
  • Have experience of retail systems to highlight areas of risk. and collaborate with the team to understand how these can be dealt with.
  • You’ll invest time in yourself and your team to build a set of skills that will enhance our delivery capability. We want you to be a master of you craft!
  • Ability to share your learnings, reaching out to the wider QA community to understand, and contribute to the evolution of QA, we want you to share your passion for testing and tech.
