Trading Lead - Electrical

I have an exciting role available for a Trade Lead / Planning Manager within the Electrical category team. This is a key role within the category, leading the planning and delivery of key electrical priorities and new product launches and campaigns. This is a permanent opportunity to join one of the UK's leading online retailers.


About the role.

The Trading Lead role is to build and own the Electrical activity plan, ensuring it is fit for purpose and is aligned to category, customer, and business priorities to deliver Retail KPI’s.

You will operate as a key member of the Electrical Team and facilitate cross functional working across the category and wider business functions to ensure that key electrical priorities, new product launches and customer campaign moments are delivered in the most effective way.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • You will take ownership of the Electrical trading calendar, working with category managers to ensure all Electrical priorities are captured and planned for.
  • You will lead the planning and delivery of Electrical campaign plans ensuring activity plans align to demand, sales and GM forecasts.
  • You will lead analysis on customer journey and performance metrics, and provide measurable insights.
  • Champion the customer – ensuring that Electrical priorities show up in the right way in cross category events, executed with a simple customer journey, aligned to customer mentality and insights..
  • Work closely with DI & DCX team to understand how the customer makes purchase decisions, the product expectations & risks as well as a deeper understanding of how they interact with onsite content for Electricals and the wider business.
  • Close working relationship with Creative, Brand & Performance Marketing teams to align insights and execution plans.
  • Work with Threefold to leverage incremental funding opportunities across all campaigns.
  • Be creative, passionate, and innovative about improving the onsite customer experience and ensuring an outstanding end to end customer journey.
  • Managing and developing the Electrical Trade Marketing Executive.
  • Capture in-event lessons learnt which feed back into the planning process.
  • Senior stakeholder management to share and cascade progress of Electrical activity plans.
