About the Role
Responsible for delivering robust 1st line assurance through providing ongoing support, advice and the review of business and regulatory requirements in financial communications. Whilst ensuring the strategy of FS integration and elevation of our Very Pay proposition is appropriate to drive positive business and customer outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for providing assurance that FS communications are clear, fair and not misleading, operating within the regulatory and sign off framework. Understanding and identifying the risks and impacts of non-adherence in the execution of the financial communications.
- Proactively drive engagement with key stakeholders across Retail and FS to support and provide advice on the content and principles that need to be considered when creating a financial promotion
- Support with new initiatives across the business, new channels, partnerships and campaigns to provide upfront guidance on what needs to be considered in line with current framework guidelines and risk appetite.
- Involvement in new FS product development projects and initiatives, including Instalment Plans and Sigma.iQ, working with the wider FS product and comms team to drive forward new business projects.
- Continually assess processes, ways of working & technology in the overall sign off framework with a view to drive continuous improvement and strengthen the control environment that surrounds financial promotions.
- Work with the wider business to understand and overcome potential challenges or barriers in any financial promotions related activity to achieve shared goals.
About you
- Experience of working in a regulated Financial Services environment would be beneficial but not essential.
- Awareness and the ability to build a good understanding of the Advertising standards and Financial Promotions regulations.
- Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Expertise in relationship management at varying levels of seniority and roles across the business.
- Resilient and work well under pressure
- Active listening skills to ensure accurate capture and understanding of information to help form a balanced view.
- Great communication skills with the ability to articulate a 1st line view, comfortable presenting to senior stakeholders and influencing decisions.
- A collaborative, adaptable approach - you thrive in a fast-changing environment with multiple moving part.
