About the role

We're looking for A Senior Delivery Manager for our DCX Tribe. For us, a Senior Delivery Manager is accountable for the effective delivery of complex, high-risk products and services.

Here you'll have hands-on experience across a broad range of products and services, delivering throughout the entire product life cycle. You'll be accountable for the team’s output and will be the main point of escalation.

You'll work hand in hand with our Product Managers and Technical Leads in order to influence and define a path to meet our commercial aims.

We're looking for a role model within the discipline to engage the wider community whilst coaching/mentoring other delivery mangers.

We need your help maintaining delivery momentum at an Expert level. For us this means you know how to optimise the delivery flow of teams. You'll be experienced in actively addressing the most complicated risks, issues and dependencies including where ownership exists outside the team or where no clear ownership exists. We need the right person to help identify innovative ways to unblock issues.

As an expert in Agile and Lean practices, you'll know how to coach and lead teams in Agile and Lean practices already. This role needs a recognised expert, someone that advocates these approaches, continuously reflects and is able to challenge the team.

Here you can create or tailor new ways of working.

To be successful in the role, we need a top communicator, someone who can mediate between people and mend relationships, particularly someone who is confident communicating with stakeholders at all levels. As you may imagine, our stakeholders expectations are high and we'll need you to facilitate discussions about high risk and complexity even within constrained timescales.

We want to be known as the best in class for this space, so here you can speak and represent the community to large audiences inside and outside of the Very Group.

Of course though to be successful in this role, it's safe to say there is a fair amount of Planning.

Can you process in a very complex environment? Can you plan beyond product delivery? Can you can identify dependencies in plans across services and coordinate delivery?

All this comes together and runs smoothly with Process. Here we'll need you you to identify and challenge organisational processes of increasing complexity and those processes that are unnecessarily complicated. You'll be able to add value and have the ability to coach the organisation to inspect and adapt processes.

So can you apply experience of multiple parts of the product life cycle? Can you recognise when it is right to move forward and when it is right to stop? Can you can recognise the appropriate deliverables and the right people to meet these? If so we need you to help work with other agile delivery operations throughout the product life.
