About us

We’re the team behind digital retailer Very.

Our purpose, helping families get more out of life, powers everything we do.

And we want our people to get more out of life too! If you’re high-performing, ambitious and make the most of every opportunity, we want to hear from you. In return, you’ll enjoy heaps of flexibility, great perks and benefits, and the freedom to be yourself, keep learning and take your career wherever you want it to go.

If you love making a difference, you’ll love making it sparkle for millions of Very customers. ✨

About the Role

This is a genuine enterprise-level role. You’ll work across multiple portfolios spanning retail and financial services, giving you visibility, influence and impact that’s hard to find elsewhere.

You’ll be the person senior leaders trust to tell it like it is. Spotting risks before they land. Connecting the dots across programmes. Helping teams make smarter decisions and move faster with confidence.

You’ll play a key role in raising the maturity of how we deliver change at Very. From governance and reporting to tooling and ways of working, you’ll help shape what “good” looks like and make it stick.

If you enjoy being close to decision-making, working with senior stakeholders and improving how organisations deliver at scale, you’ll feel right at home here.

Key Responsibilities

  • Turning complex portfolio data into clear, meaningful insight that leaders can act on.
  • Bringing a joined-up view of risks, dependencies and priorities across multiple programmes.
  • Acting as a trusted voice who can challenge constructively and help teams course-correct.
  • Shaping portfolio plans and helping balance priorities, resources and delivery pace.
  • Leading governance that adds real value rather than slowing teams down.
  • Supporting key forums and decision-making groups, keeping everyone aligned and focused.
  • Improving how we work by simplifying processes, automating reporting and raising standards.
  • Helping embed consistent, scalable ways of delivering change across the business.

About you

  • You know what great delivery looks like and you’re confident helping others get there.
  • You’ve worked in complex environments where multiple programmes run at once, and you’re comfortable making sense of moving parts and turning them into clear direction.
  • You’re naturally analytical but just as strong at storytelling, able to translate data into insight that lands with senior stakeholders.
  • You build trust quickly, ask the right questions and aren’t afraid to challenge when it matters, always with the goal of helping teams succeed.
  • You’ll likely bring experience from a PMO, ePMO or portfolio environment and be familiar with a mix of delivery approaches like Agile and Waterfall. If you’ve worked with tools like JIRA or Power BI, even better.
  • Most importantly, you care about outcomes. You want to improve how things work, not just maintain them

Some of our benefits

  • £1000 flexible benefits allowance to suit your needs
  • 30 days holiday + bank holidays
  • LinkedIn learning access
  • Bonus potential (performance and business-related)
  • Up to 25% discount on Very.co.uk
