About the role.

We are looking for a Brand Marketing Lead who will bring clarity, energy and consistency to our Social focussed brand activity. You’ll lead the planning, delivery and measurement of our always on category communications, helping to drive customer and commercial growth while strengthening Very’s position as a loved, first choice brand for families.

You’ll work closely with internal teams and agency partners, bringing a strategic eye, collaborative spirit and the ability to make complex work feel simple, structured and effective.

What you’ll be doing

  • Leading the end to end development and delivery of our Social focussed always on activity, ensuring it aligns with our OKRs and shifts the drivers of consideration.
  • Planning compelling category communications that support customer growth and brand strength.
  • Building strong, productive relationships across internal teams and external agencies, acting as a reliable point of contact for smooth collaboration.
  • Managing and developing two direct reports, supporting their growth and performance.
  • Creating quarterly category and customer moment media briefs, reviewing plans and recommending the strongest approaches for senior sign off.
  • Working with creative partners to maintain a clear and consistent creative approach that reflects platform best practice and core retail principles.
  • Ensuring all creative output is channel appropriate, brand aligned and social first.
  • Bringing a strategic lens to all activity, keeping teams focused on the brief and driving continuous improvement.

About you.

  • Experience leading marketing activity in a fast paced, agile environment.
  • Confident leadership skills with the ability to operate independently and influence senior stakeholders.
  • Strong organisation and prioritisation skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to bring ideas to life.
  • Ability to provide strategic direction and constructive critique that keeps work aligned to the brief.
  • Understanding of retail fundamentals and how to apply them across digital channels.
  • Experience developing and delivering social first campaigns.
  • Strong understanding of media channels and their roles.
  • High attention to detail and strong brand guardianship.
  • Commercial awareness with a track record of delivering against KPIs.
  • Experience in style or lifestyle categories such as Fashion, Home or Sport is a plus.

1st stage - An informal 30-45 minute video call with the hiring team to discuss your skills and relevant experience. This is a great opportunity to find out more about the role and to ask any questions you may have.

2nd Stage – A one-hour formal task based interview where you can expect both competency and technical questions.
