About the role
This role's purpose is to assist the Finance Manager in ensuring the accuracy and completeness of accounting entries impacting the Group Balance Sheet and to ensure the integrity of accounting records.
Key Responsibilities.
- Posting of month-end accounting journals and performing key balance sheet reconciliations, notably in relation to intercompany balances, FX and unactioned demand.
- ARCS superuser with responsibility for loading balances each month and liaising with Tech and EPM team to set up new reconciliations/re-allocate reconciliations.
- Production of month end management accounts for some subsidiary companies
- Producing the monthly Group Consolidation
- Exceptional costs analysis
- Production of monthly balance sheet pack, with investigation of significant movements
- Assisting the Finance Manager in the of production of annual statutory accounts for and other periodic external reporting, such as Bank Reports.
- Production of key audit schedules and answering auditor queries.
- Other ad hoc requests from the team and wider business.
About you
- Studying towards AAT or recently qualified.
- Strong accounting skills.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills, with the ability to effectively utilise formulas, pivot tables, lookups, etc.
- Proficient in the use of other Microsoft packages such as Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint.
- Experience with Oracle would be beneficial.
- Strong communication skills for both finance and non-finance audiences.
- Ability to work with external auditors and advisors, understanding their needs and requests and providing clear, concise and accurate information.
- Good time management skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work accurately and reliably.
- Enthusiastic attitude with a desire to improve and ability to use own initiative.
