About the team

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Part-time Receptionist to join us at our Skygate facility, our state-of-the-art distribution centre in the East Midlands.

The site is responsible for 94% of our customer orders, houses 7.2m products and processes 633,000 items every week.

About the role

The Receptionist role is key to ensuring safety controls and daily operations run smoothly. The role is to cover reception on Mondays and Tuesdays, however flexibility is needed to cover holidays and sickness absence where required.

Working pattern: Monday and Tuesday 8am - 4pm

As a receptionist for our Skygate facility, you will be responsible for:

  • Acting as a focal point for all day-to-day operations, contact and information
  • Maintaining Security awareness and work alongside other members of the Security team
  • Effectively dealing with all enquiries and visitor interactions at the front desk and contacting colleagues when visitors arrive
  • Access & egress controls
  • Answering incoming calls or internal calls from both colleagues and visitors
  • Receiving and passing on mail deliveries to the relevant individuals
  • Assisting in meeting room bookings and scheduling
  • Responding to alarms and act in accordance with emergency procedures
  • Maintaining all records related to reception duties
  • Administration support for the Fulfilment Centre Leadership Team
  • Ad-hoc administration and support tasks, where required to support the wider site

About you

This is a super important role to our site, greeting all visitors and representing The Very Group as the first point of contact to those visiting our site. You will have prior experience working as a receptionist at a busy site, comfortable with handling multiple priorities and duties at one time. The key skills required are:

  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong customer service and administration skills
  • Highly motivated and willing to learn
  • Attention to detail and accuracy on all aspects of the role are essential

2nd Stage - A follow-up interview to further explore your suitability for the role and give you the opportunity to meet additional members of the team.
