Very Media Group (VMG) is Very’s retail media proposition. Our vision it to be the UK’s destination pureplay retail media network for partners, delivering insight-led, strategic and creative marketing campaigns in collaboration with our brand partners.
About the role
We are an agile and fast-paced team and work cross-functionally to bring our category activity to life!
We’re looking for a Trade Marketing Executive to join our team and help deliver outstanding category campaigns that drive sales, customer engagement, and brand growth.
This is a varied role and requires someone who is adaptable and agile, a strong creative thinker and someone who isn’t afraid to challenge the status quo.
Key responsibilities include -
- Supporting the trade marketing lead with all events & campaign plans, ensuring all planned activity is executed across all relevant touchpoints accurately and delivered on time
- Responsible for planning customer journeys for each piece of activity, considering high-traffic touchpoints, click rates and conversion rates
- Maintaining and updating all relevant live documents used cross-functionally to effectively plan and execute activity
- Partnering internally with key functions to contribute to the definition of priorities and ensure all activity is communicated clearly and delivered to the brief
- Championing the customer journey ensuring that events and campaigns are executed in a simple way and aligned to the customer mindset. Striving to make continuous improvements
- Ongoing reporting of digital performance using google analytics, Content Square and Power BI
- Monitoring and reporting on competitor activity, making recommendations of ways to improve electrical activity and onsite execution
- Be creative, passionate, and innovative about improving the onsite customer experience and ensuring a world class end to end customer journey
About you
You will ideally have experience in category marketing, however it's not essential. Most importantly, you will be prepared to challenge ideas in order to champion our customer, ensuring that we are delivering activity in the simplest and most effective way possible.
Beyond that, you will have -
- Strong understanding of competitor analysis and onsite customer journey optimisation
- Proficiency in Excel and have experience using analytical tools such as Power BI and Content Square
- Experience with managing multiple campaigns or pieces of activity concurrently, meeting deadlines and co-ordinating across multiple teams
- Experience working cross-functionally, with a proven track record in negotiating and influencing stakeholders
- Understanding in balancing creative marketing ideas with commerciality
- An understanding of shopper & consumer behaviour
- A high level of attention to detail
- Presenting and story-telling skills

2nd Stage – A one-hour formal interview where you can expect both competency and technical questions. This can be held either in-person or remotely.
